Main features and pin functions

Sn65hvd230 can be used in high interference environment.

The main characteristics of the device are as follows

Fully compatible with iso11898 standard;
High input impedance, allowing 120 nodes;
Low current wait mode, typical current is 370 μ A；
The signal transmission rate can reach 1MB / s;
It has the function of thermal protection and open circuit failure protection;
It has the function of resisting instantaneous interference and protecting bus;
Slope control reduces radio frequency interference (RFI);
Differential receiver, with a wide range of common mode interference, electromagnetic interference (EMI) ability.
Working mode and control logic

Sn65hvd230 has three different working modes: high speed, slope and waiting.

Its working mode can be controlled by RS control pin.

Figure 2 is a typical application diagram of sn65hvd230 in CAN bus system.

As can be seen from the figure, the output pin TX of CAN controller is connected to the data input D of sn65hvd230, which can transmit the data sent by this can node to the can network;

The receiving pin RX of CAN controller is connected with the data output r of sn65hvd230 to receive data. Sn65hvd230 mode selection port RS is connected with a jumper and a slope resistor grounded at one end.

Three operation modes can be selected through hardware mode, among which the slope resistor is 0-100k Ω potentiometer.

Package Type:
