Strain Gauge Principle:
Attach the strain gauge to the object being measured and make it expand and contract along with the strain of the object being measured, so that the metal foil inside the strain gauge elongates or shortens with the strain. Many metals experience changes in their electrical limits when mechanically elongated or shortened. Strain gauges apply this principle by measuring changes in resistance to determine strain. The sensitive grid of a general strain gauge is made of copper chromium alloy, whose resistance change rate is constant and proportional to the strain.
